newtown ghost town

aberystwyth university’s english & creative writing department has been for ages and ages running conferences at gregynog hall just outside newtown which is a controversially-politicked new town in mid-wales. in october 2022, there was a new conferenced organised by professor matthew jarvis and dr luke thurston titled ‘haunted wales’. many gave many good talks and i joined in, as somebody from a new town elsewhere, to give words on ‘newtown ghost town: searching for creative pulse in a mid-wales new town’ recounting a day out around hallowe’en time at that place.
