toys in places
‘toys in places‘ is the most significant development from my blog a magic toybox 123, which collages the toys i draw – my own and of friends and of family – into theatrical scenes in particular locations from all over the years. you can find more words on ‘toys in places’ at question journal, and they are on the walls in the toilets of aberystwyth’s best venues bottle & barrel and bank vault, and also my mom & dad’s house.
in Febrruary 2024, a ‘toys in places’ took part in a collaborative exhibition titled ‘love in hard times‘ at the rising sun arts centre, reading.
july – august 2024 two further ‘toys in places’ appear in the far left gallery (gallery 1?) at aberystwyth school of art as part of a collaborative exhibition titled ‘in the spirit of place‘:
