MY FRIEND KELECHI ANUCHA WAS PART OF THE WAITING TIMES PROJECT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE WELLCOME TRUST WHICH LOOKED AT ‘WAITING’ IN THE CURRENT BRITISH HEALTH-CARE SYSTEM AND CULMINATED IN A 3-DAY CONFERENCE BASED AT THE FRIENDS HOUSE ON EUSTON ROAD. to open the proceedings there was a performance by martin o’brien at THE HORSE HOSPITAL ON THE COLLONADE IN HOLBORN, about respiratory diseases. attendees were invited to reflect on an aspect of the occurences; please find mine and ed garland‘s collaborative response HERE! returning to the welsh riveria purity of aberystwyth, outta the big smoke, i gave a talk about it all in the ENGLISH & CREATIVE WRITING DEPARTMENT At ABERYSTWYTH UNIVERSITY’s research seminar series in-person and via teams. my talk was titled ‘A HEALTHY HACIENDA: situationst psychogeography and concrete modernity’, and was about the life-giving qualities of * some * utopian-ish urban developments and the deadening qualities of certain other kinds.
