invisible cities / shell-world
it was not until after i first went to roma that i realised a 1st edn of william weavers’s translation of italo calvino’s invisible cities (1972) features a shell-world on its front cover.
myself and dr. marc boumeester co-wrote an article about psychogeography and this text and murky mergings between situationist and oulipian clans you can find it here in a journal named APRIA WHICH MEANS APRICOT.
THE EDN OF INVISIBLE CITIES I CURRENTLY POSSESS IS THE PICADOR ONE, WITH A PAINTING BY Monsù Desidero: Scene de Martyr (1606)
